The International Tennis Federation has confirmed that the Italian city of Bologna will host the Davis Cup Finals from 2025 until 2028.
Italy receives a bye to the Davis Cup Finals as a bye. The seven qualified nations will make up the other spots. The Netherlands, who finished runner-up to Italy, has received a bye to the second round of qualifiers, whi will take place in September as home and away ties. One hundred fifty seven nations competed all levels of competitions in 2024. The world’s top eight teams battled for the title of world champions in a Final 8 where Italy won the Davis Cup for the second consecutive year.
The 2024 edition of the Final 8 in Malaga drew 65000 spectators (43% of whom travelled from abroad to support their team).

We are confident that over the past years working with the FITP we can take the Davis Cup even higher, providing an unforgettable experience for players and fans like”,said ITF President David Haggerty.
Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini won their singles matches to beat the Netherlands in the championships match. Italy also won the Billie Jean King Cup. Lucia Bronzetti and two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini won their singles matches to earn Italy the fifth Billie Jean King Cup title in history.
Angelo Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, highlighted the FITP record in hosting world-class tennis tournaments.
“We are thrilled to be have been selected as hosts of the Davis Cup finals and are looking forward to welcoming the best tennis in the world to our country next November and in the next three years. Italy first competed in the Davis Cup 100 years ago and is proud to have lifted the iconic Davis Cup three times as World Champions”, said Angelo Binaghi.
